First Recipe to Feature:
Banana Pudding Bliss
A soulful Southern classic that’s creamy, nostalgic, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Description:
A Sunday favorite and the most-requested dessert in my family. This banana pudding is layered with love, creamy vanilla custard, and crunchy vanilla wafers—just like Grandma used to make.
Ingredients:
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1½ cups cold water
1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
3 cups heavy whipping cream (or Cool Whip)
1 (12 oz) box vanilla wafers
4–5 ripe bananas, sliced
Optional: cinnamon, vanilla extract, whipped cream topping
Instructions:
In a large bowl, whisk together condensed milk and water until smooth.
Add pudding mix and whisk until well blended. Chill for 5 minutes.
In a separate bowl, beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into pudding mixture.
Layer pudding, bananas, and wafers in a trifle bowl or glass dish. Repeat layers.
Finish with a final layer of pudding, crushed wafers, and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight). Serve chilled.
Tee’s Tip: For extra flavor, drizzle a tiny splash of vanilla extract into the pudding base and top with caramel before serving!
